Other than class, I would really like to do some nice drift dives anywhere from Deerfield to Riviera Beach. Anything on a Saturday AFTERNOON (no morning dives) would work for me so long as I am not obligated for class.
Anyone else interested? I would need a boat with good shade (since I dive dry), and one that will have no problems with CCR divers.

Any chance of these EVER being in the northern part of the state?
Wasn't the manatee dive in your general neck of the woods?

If you call 5 hours drive, "my neck of the woods".

Well, I did say "general".

Also, maybe some of you east coast people might want to drive over here to Fort Myers to take a dive in the Gulf? Granted it would be a little more time and expense than an afternoon dive, but might be a new expereince you would enjoy.

Aren't you in or near Tallahassee? If so, you should be able to reach Crystal River in about (about 160 - 170 miles) 3 hours. It's actually closer to you than to me (215 miles).

So maybe if another Manatee dive is done in that area, I can get down for it. Jupiter is another story!

Walter, just pulled up a map. You're right. For some reason I tend to think of that area as near Bradenton. My map says it's ~165miles from me. Not that bad at all.

Hear, hear! Had a great time on the manatee trip, weather notwithstanding. Maybe we should invade Panama City Beach?
Cheers!
