Is there a Florida dive of the month planned for Sept.? Pompano was fun and I am ready for the next one!

I am still at least somewhat at the beck and call of my instructor for my class. This has to come first as a priority.

Other than class, I would really like to do some nice drift dives anywhere from Deerfield to Riviera Beach. Anything on a Saturday AFTERNOON (no morning dives) would work for me so long as I am not obligated for class.

Anyone else interested? I would need a boat with good shade (since I dive dry), and one that will have no problems with CCR divers.

I don't know what's planned, but feel free to PM me any time you want to dive. I'm diving somewhere almost every weekend.

Wasn't the manatee dive in your general neck of the woods? :teeth:

I am planning on coming up there in the beginning of November. So, how about making it down here for this one? We can alternate. :teeth:

I'm in the middle of my season. Just not going to happen. Not to mention I just found out that my coaching salary (which I used to fund my diving) will now be paid twice annually instead of monthly. This on top of the fact I recieved ZERO pay for last March through May. I was essentially "stiffed". So now I have to wait until December to see if they come up with my money at all. So I guess I'll have to eat the cost of my Drysuit next month.

Ah the joys of youth sports...

If it is at all possible, I will show up at the next dive.

Also, maybe some of you east coast people might want to drive over here to Fort Myers to take a dive in the Gulf? Granted it would be a little more time and expense than an afternoon dive, but might be a new expereince you would enjoy.

Aren't you in or near Tallahassee? If so, you should be able to reach Crystal River in about (about 160 - 170 miles) 3 hours. It's actually closer to you than to me (215 miles).

Walter, just pulled up a map. You're right. For some reason I tend to think of that area as near Bradenton. My map says it's ~165miles from me. Not that bad at all.

So maybe if another Manatee dive is done in that area, I can get down for it. Jupiter is another story!

Hear, hear! Had a great time on the manatee trip, weather notwithstanding. Maybe we should invade Panama City Beach?

Cheers!
