Monterey Aquarium has caught another Great White and has it on display. This one's a 5-foot 104-pound male, caught last month in Santa Monica Bay, and is currently swimming around the Outer Bay exhibit. In fact, they've even got a live camera feed that operates from 7AM-7PM Pacific time. here's the link: http://www.mbayaq.or...uterbay_cam.asp

WOW!!! I saw him on the bottom swimming around. Also, I saw a Moa Moa and several Hammerhead sharks. That's quite a webcam site. I like the music they play while you view.
The nearest thing we have in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is Clear Springs Scuba Park where you can see Bass, Perch, and the occasional albino catfish. I like yours better! Most of Texas used to be a shallow water sea and we find lots of fossils. Just born 450 million years too late!
Ever dove the LaBrea Tar Pits? Bad viz, but I understand there are lots of artifacts!

Of course I'm not a big fan of keeping GWS in aquaria anyway... why do we feel we have to retaliate just because they keep us in those Al or steel cages when we're in their territory?

Darn, he was camera shy when I tried to view him a few minutes ago.

No one is keeping you in the cage.

I like the music they play while you view.
The music is pretty cool but I was hoping for the Jaws music
He did a quick swim by while I was watching.

My in-laws went to see him last week ... I'll post photos when they send 'em along.
Very cool! Watch the video of how they brought him to Monterey Bay, very interesting and seems humane. Perhaps they can learn further about GW's while he spends some time there.
Monterey is the most well done Aquarium I have visited but I have not yet seen the new one in Atlanta. Has anyone checked it out?
