About the Event & Location
DUI event ticket are $5 if purchased in advance or $10 on-site. Tickets include full demo participation, a barbecue lunch, and entry in the raffle. Admission to the facility is extra, but an advance DUI event ticket includes a discounted admission rate to Lake Rawlings- $16/day instead of $18/day.
All activities will begin at 9am on Saturday and Sunday. Signs will be posted at Lake Rawlings to guide you to DUI's large white event tents. Air fills will be available on-site.
Schedule for the Day
Registration and Test Dives: 9am to 5pm Saturday and 9am-4pm Sunday. All divers will need to check in with the facility and at the DUI event. C-cards are required. DUI liability release forms and rental forms 9available in advance online) will also be required, and a credit card or drivers license will be held as a deposit.
Test Dives will be conducted Saturday until 5pm and Sunday until 4pm. All equipment must be returned by that time. Divers must enter the water by 4pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday to ensure DUI has the equipment back in time.
Prior to the demo, each diver will be fitted with the appropriate drysuit and other equipment. Once you are dressed and ready to dive, you will check in with the divemaster in charge of the beach who will assign you an instructor or divemaster as a guide. As soon as there are 2-3 people ready to go in the water, an experienced drysuit diver or instructor will escort you on your dive. If you are a certified drysuit diver, you are welcome to plan your dives accordingly. You can do as many dives as you wish. With numerous suits there usually is little wait. If you’d like to test dive a specific model of suit, please let the staff know so that they can do their best to make one available for you
Barbecue Lunch: 11am to 2pm
This is included in the event ticket price and is served to all participants from 11am –2pm. Plan your dive schedule appropriately. Family members of participants can enjoy the barbecue lunch for only $5. Small children are free with a paid adult.
“How to” Seminars
Informative “How to” seminars will be taught throughout the weekend. The most popular seminar is DUI Field Repair Seminar. This seminar is held on Sunday at 11am. They will demonstrate seal replacement, finding and patching holes, changing valves and overall tips on maintaining drysuits. Space is limited and pre-registration is recommended. To register contact DUI Customer Service directly at CustomerService@DUI-Online.com or 800.325.8439. A schedule with more detailed information will be posted in the tent at the event.
Divers Alert Network
DAN will be joining this event conducting safety seminars and available to answer questions about DAN’s products and services.
Joe Wysocki from Optiquatics

First priority will be given to DOGs and demo divers who have done 1 or more dives in the drysuit. This is to ensure minimal task loading. Images will be copied onto a CD for divers to take home for FREE.
Treasure Hunt
Keep your eyes out for golf balls under water. The more you collect, the better your prize!
Saturday Evening Dinner & Program
Saturday 6pm - divers will have the opportunty to talk with dive industry leaders at a catered dinner. Joe Wysocki from Optiquatics will be giving a presentation highlighting DUI’s History & Diving the World with DUI. The evening event is also only $5 if purchased in advance or $10 on-site.
Special Opportunities for DOGs
DOGs are DUI drysuit owners. DOGs who bring a friend with them to test dive DUI products will receive a FREE bonus prize as well as a Test Diver hat when they present their DUI equipment and event ticket.
Door Prizes for All Participants
All divers who complete the demo will get a commemorative DUI TEST DIVER hat and have their names entered into a drawing for more prizes. New this year! All participants including staff are entered to win dive trips donated by dive operations around the world. DUI will give away smaller prizes at each event with the grand prizes of free trips with the Nautilus Explorer and Optiquatics being given away at the end of the year.

I love tea. Especially imported whole leaf green tea. But isn't tea a diuretic?

Diversitea is Red Clover based, and contains no "tea leaves" - clover is a liver detoxifier, and blood purifying herb, which also helps the body to offgas Nitrogen Waste. The flavor of Diversitea is rather fruity - not much like camellia based teas at all! There is also a "sleep" tea, called Sunset blend, which has Kava-Kava, Chamomile and Cinnamon and tastes more like traditional tea, without the Caffeine or Diuretic effect!
This SD thing is really cool!

To get this thread back on track...
Has anyone been to one of these?
How does it work? Do they measure you so that if you want to order a suit you have your measurements? I plan on attending the one in Florida in November. I hope they have suits for larger divers, and undergarments too.
Do they have orientations? I have only worn a suit once, but never with SCUBA.. I just played around in the pool with it. I hope to order my suit in November to have it in time for Christmas.

for the demo they get you into a size as close to what you are. the orientation is normally a guided dive with a divermaster or higher. They have suits of all sizes from xs - xxl divers (a couple of years ago i got to dive dick longs CF 200 suit and it fit great even though proportionally where different)
They have in the past as i had one of the reps do a measurements sheet for a suit i was looking to get at that time but didnt end up getting it.
Does that help?

I wrote to DUI first to see if they will have suits available that will fit my boys as my youngest is only 5'1" and all 3 boys are slender. I heard back last night and they said absolutely as they bring over 90 suits to these events. I'll post a report next week after we attend. How does it work? Do they measure you so that if you want to order a suit you have your measurements? I plan on attending the one in Florida in November. I ordered mine in September 2005 but didn't receive it until January 2006 although I initially received it in December but returned it to add the pockets. I hope that you have better luck!I hope to order my suit in November to have it in time for Christmas.

I just happen to have larger legs than average so that is where I run into trouble. I guess I need to check lead times on getting the suits, but I don't want to buy a suit until I go to the Dog Day. I doubt I'll be getting a DUI suit though. Far too expensive for me.

Try on as many of the suits as you can!!! You will be receiving a coupon at the end of the event that might help you to decide to buy DUI. I usualy wear Faith's suit!! It fits perfect, tho a bit big in the chest! So I know, if I buy DUI to just tell them to make on like Faith's! THey will have lots of different type of undies too. The weight and trim harness is available also. Also you can try dry gloves! I know I'll need them as my wrist won't accept a seal.
If they can fit me, they'll be able to fit you!! Have fun and dive as much as you can.
Heather.
