We arrived at Brewzzi's across from the Convention Center at CityPlace shortly after 6 when the Florida Dive Show ended for the day! It was a great show with lots of people and a small crowd had started to form as we arrived with banner in hand and in search of space in the bar!

After confirming the plans with the bar manager '2 for 1' well, draft and house drinks were flowing and appetizers were coming to feed the horde! (The manager was great and we really appreciate his working with us!)

Brewzzi's has fabulous food and several of the appetizers including homemade chips and gorganzola cheeze which was to die for! The calamari was delicious and the nachos were almost as good as those from Mexico! The wings were so good they 'flew' off the plate and I don't recall what else was there but it must have been great as it disappeared quite quickly!

Oh I know what it was...it was the spinach dip and it was great...well it looked it great...I only saw the remanents!!! :P

(I highly recommend that you visit this establishment when your plans take you to West Palm Beach or Boco...or heck make a special trip...yep its that good!)

We had a great turnout...slightly less than last year as we forgot the HH flyers in Texas since we had to fly directly from Cabo to Florida to do the show. But we filled most of the bar and cleaned out some food with many people staying for dinner afterwards!

I hope some of our new members will post to 'say hi'! And we really enjoyed getting to know everyone who joined us at the Happy Hour. At one time we counted about 40 people thru the evening... :tears:

I am one of those new members to whom you refer.
Hello to all those I met at Brewzzi's ! It was great. And I learned a lot also.
For example... someone that will remain nameless (because I forgot it)
pretending to have never tried s.c.u.b.a. convinced me he was scared and got me to
respond to his question about using the second stage to breathe.... he craftily got
me to proudly state that "I am NOT afraid to put it in my mouth". :tears:
Nice meeting everyone ! I spent so much time talking to so many interesting
divers that I never finished my second beer.

David was your unnamed harasser. He is the head of training with TDI. You were the victim of a very old humorous exchange of stupid questions asked by non divers that are anything but.
Welcome to SD and the dive community. You are officially recognized as an enthusiast of the :P sport and for the record you handled the questions about SCUBA with perfection. :lmao: It was a pleasure to meet you.

:lmao: :tears: Welcome Alan! I am from Palm Beach area as well but missed the show and happy hour as I am in Arizona and Las Vegas for the holidays! If we have 40 new members in our area we certainly have to get a happy hour going! Good to see such a good turnout! Sad that I missed it!
