It's Christmas Eve, and I sorta feel like what PJ O'Rourke said about bachelors, "Bachelors never put up Christmas decorations unless they get very drunk and sentimental on Christmas Eve. If this happens to you, paint your behind red and green and press it against the front window". (From The Bachelor's Home Companion).

Well, I'm not drunk, and wouldn't think of doing something like that, but I am having a hot buttered rum drink while surfing the web, watching the crappy weather and listening to some music. I don't have to go to work tomorrow until noon. I thought this song sums up why I just kinda blow off the holidays. It's also one of my favorite musicians, The Artie Shaw Orchestra (Helen Forest on vocals). This is meant in a positive way, not to make anybody feel depressed (I certainly don't). As the song says, "lots of things I want to do, but not without you". Just trying to say I'm thinking of all you fine folk on SD.com. Enjoy!
