Hi All,

I going to Anilao Philippines in Feb 2007 (for my 6th annual trip to this location), and am wondering if anyone might want to join me on my trip as a buddy? The place is cheap includes accomodations, food (delicious) and 4 boat dives per day including expert dive guide. Wonderful photo/video opportunities. Fantastic corals, fish and wonderful muck sites with rare creatures like flamboyant cuttlefish, ambon scorpionfish, wonderpus and mimic octopus, blue ring octopus, to name a few that I was just reported by Peri (my usual guide). Totally safe and easy to get to. I will be diving from Feb 10-18, 2007 at Club Ocellaris Dive Resort.

Are you doing your annual pilgrimage to Anilao/Club O in '08? I'm itching to dive the Philippines,and both Anilao & Club O sound like my kind of place - a little quieter, nice but not fancy, world-class diving, great folks & scrumptious local food! I'd also be interested in an extended trip to Palau, Thailand even Indonesia while "in the neighborhood."

Perhaps we should chat. I don't have PM as a basic member, but feel free to email me. How was Lembeh? I'm guessing epic!

Yep. Dates are a little tentative still. Most likely looks like the second week in Feb 2008 will be my dive week in Anilao.

I booked travel today, well a flight to Cebu, for February 3-17. We don't yet have a final or intermediate destination in mind. My non-diving partner will be along so there needs to be something to keep him occupied.

I'd love to learn more about diving Anilao! Tell me more!!!

Anilao is in Batangas Province, not Cebu Province. Cebu does offer loads of dive options, including locally around Cebu City/Mactan, Malapascua (a long trip but an interesting location) and Maubaol, with Dumagette nearby. You might need to go to these places or somewhere like Boracay where there are other things to do than dive (which is all there is in Anilao!).

Good luck, it is the good season to dive in Philippines ... from Feb - late May, for good weather and minimal winds.

I would love to hear other recommendations around Cebu. We're looking into these locations and my sweet guy is planning around diving despite his non-diving lifestyle :

2. Moalboal
3. Dumaguete
4. Apo Island
5. Sipalay
6. Guimaras
7. Iloilo
8. Manila to fly home to Beijing
