Note: In light of the fact that this was a dive in an overhead environment that would be considered by most divers as outside the realm of "recreational" diving, this topic has been moved to our Technical Diving forum.-- SD Management

After having checked the story out through another source, I will bet that it makes for some interesting reading. His dive buddies in Ontario are waiting for the official report before they say anything.
There were many thanks offered to the New Jersey divers who initially located the body and clipped a reel to the body so that the police could do the recovery later. Apparently one member of the New Jersey group was using a rebreather as his post mentions diluent level.

By request of the family those who were involved in this accident will not say anything until after the funeral. It's very sad and my prayers go out to the family and his diving buddy.

Thanks hnladue - it's been moved to the appropriate forum: Diving Related Learning Lessons. My thoughts go out to his family, friends, and co-workers.This is/was not a technical dive. It needs to be moved someplace else please.
