I recently picked up a Cochran EMC-20H 2 gas computer as well.

I hadn't planned to buy a new computer since my Suunto Vyper has gauge mode and I can dive using tables for my TDI classes; but, the free Analyst software I got since I'm a DAN member pushed my decision by several months.

I did a dive in North Carolina this past October using an EMC-16 and my Vyper. My Vyper showed about 5 minutes less time to Deco than the Cochran did however, somewhere around 40-60 feet, both computers came into agreement with each other.

I am extremely happy so far with the computer and I can't wait to use the multi-gas capabilities :)

The Cochran has the ability to BUILD your own conservancy into them. I set all the computers for 25 that we used in the DAN testing.

The scale ranges from 0-50. This allows you to 'age' with your computer. Young military divers would set their at 0 while older or perhaps injured divers would set theirs at 50.

I choose 25 as it was the MOR...middle of the road and should be plenty conservative for even the most pensive divers.

That's good info to know, Wenchie!!

I'll hook mine up to the PC and set it to 25; then I'll have to make some test dives!!
