Sorry, if this is the wrong place for this post. Please direct me to the appropriate forum.

I wish there were some consolidated internet resource where I could type in my vacation dates,
and get back a list of trips from lots of different dive trip operators. At work, I need to schedule my vacation
between projects, so my target dates are non-negotiable, except by a day or two on either end.
As it is now, I've called 7 dive shops in my area, and been to dozens of dive websites' tour calendars,
only to find they have plenty of trips just before, or just after my target dates. AFAIK, the world's
oceans are suddenly diver-free Aug. 27th - Sept. 6th. At least no one in the DC area knows
of a trip. I don't have advanced open water training, so that has disqualified me from one or two trips,
but still! A list of trips SD users are going on (or have heard of) that is sortable
by date or contact would be really handy.

Funny you should mention that...there is a system like that right now. The platform has been built and the company is working to fill out the trip calendar with diving ops. In fact they are looking for someone to approach dive shops to offer to list their trips for a fee in the datebase.

The database lets you sort on trips by destination...dates of travel...cost...etc. The technology exists...the parent company is the same company that developed my dive reservation system. Oh yes...after you find that trip..you can even book it online or reserve a spot real time!!

Hi. Is this project still under development? It looks like maybe it hasn't caught on with the trip operators. Have you heard of any other trip finder applications that may have sprouted in the meantime? (In my dreams, there is an app where I can enter a date range, and get back trips that fall within it.)

The aforementioned project has morphed a bit and for the betterment of SD divers. It will be launched soon and will enable divers to find single specials! Be looking for more on this soon! -ww
