I'm good. Life has just been crazy (between work and people visiting). I'm hoping to get to hang out here more...
I've also been trying to decide where I want to go for my next dive trip. I'll start a new thread with that question.

Lets see. Roatan, Honduras or NC Wreck diving in August or maybe NC Seafood Festival & Wreck Diving in October?I'm good. Life has just been crazy (between work and people visiting). I'm hoping to get to hang out here more...

Realize most of you are happy about the increasing body count. However, as I suggested, it seems to have led to a host of new introductions responded to by many as a nice welcome (or easy way to increase their post counts). The threads of "substance" (IMHO) seem to have declined as a percentage of the total.
Even worse the sexual innuendos, etc., seem to have declined drastically as well. Now that's a real shame!!! Is it because the water is warm enough to dive everywhere now.
Rather than increase my post count by welcoming the next 400 SD members, I'm going to use this post to say welcome to each new member, enjoy your time on SD and come dive with us.

Hey Doc...I think you are missing out on one of the nicest features about our site...at least one that I've been collecting LOTS of comments about and that is how friendly we are. Most people are now stumbling onto our site accidently via the internet rather then being referred directly by people. They have no idea what to expect and so they test the waters by posting an introduction and then are amazed at how many people greet them from the site. I had one new person join and say that they rec'd over 20 hellos in a few hours when they said "hi" over here with at the time less then 500 members but had only gotten 8 hellos in a week on a board that has over 20,000 members. So in one respect you are right...being small keeps us more intimate but it also allows us to foster a friendly environment that I hope will continue whether we have 600 members or 6000 members!!!Realize most of you are happy about the increasing body count. As for the threads of substance...no wonder they have decreased...YOU my darling have not started any in such a long time!!! And goodness knows we've missed your classic innuendos!!
Let's face it DrBill...we've just plain missed you!!! I'm glad you are back.....NOW....Get posting my dear!!! P.S. many new members are encouraged to go and read thru our 'classic' threads...don't forget to do the same yourself....its easy to do and it brings ALL the good stuff back to the front!!! More members bring more experience and suggestions that will help EVERYONE become better divers. That is what we want to accomplish. We are not just another board, WE ARE A FAMILY.

Good point WW on the friendliness of this board. It is indeed quite evident and very welcoming. And you are correct that I have not initiated a thread in quite a while. Another good point!
Of course it is now summer, the water is warmer, the surface intervals are quite comfortable, there are more divers out (including some regional single beauties), and I'm diving like crazy 5 days a week and editing like crazy the other two, so not enough time for much posting until the water cools in Nov. or Dec.
