PerroneFord,
Thanks for the info because it would take a numerous amount of phone calls to find out this kind of info if you didn't live in that area. I think the Mighty O is a very special place to the USA and its a historic Ship with a record of service that extends thru many decades. I meet a sailor just the other day that was on the ship that was in the rescue of the Pueblo back in the those days but remembers the Mighty O/Oriskany sailing by that sailors ship as one of the most memorable times of that sailors career. I will dive the O again (period)...I dont have a plan B. I hope the next time I dive Her its with Scuba Shack and Diverdeb with her homemade "all natural" ice cream...that would be Sweet :iagree:

I can point you in the right direction for mix here. I'm fairly sure the same place supports ccr too, but I need to confirm that. I'll check into it and let you know. So when are you coming to P'cola???????????????
As for me, I'm feeling pretty scubalicious.

Deb,
Unless Santa Claus comes (he dint come last year or the years before that :canuckdiver: ) my next oppertunity/window for Fl will be in Aug 2009..Plenty of time to plan a Pen HH and gather a few divers interested in meeting at the O.

(note)
This is not and planned or SD board promoted Idea..its just an Idea :welcome:

I just came across an interesting article on the Oriskany. It seems to be deeper now because of Gustav. Here's the article.

Yup, sounds like the average deck depth is now about 145'. Here's a detailed thread about the Oriskany post-Gustav on ScubaBoard.

Question is now, what's it going to be like after Ike?
