OK for all of you who want notice... if we have a great time (and why wouldn't we?), we just might do it again the following weekend... so let us know if you are up for the 15th... :cool2:

The wheels of planning have started turning! Where to stay nearby? Do I need a passport coming from L.A.? :teeth:

Careful, I hear the check you out really well coming down past the Orange Curtain! Places to stay nearby are pricy! You may want to drive a few extra miles!

Let's see. If I fly out and dive with ya'll Sunday, and if I make sure I don't breathe in very much, I won't take up much nitrogen, so I could catch a redeye flight back to Dallas to be on call Monday morning....... Hmmmmmm.  Very Tempting!
How bout if I breathe, but don't inhale! You know, like the politicians.

Hey NP, if you fly out to dive with us, maybe we can have an impromptu happy hour in your honor as well :teeth: !! Think about coming out a day early if you are serious...

A happy hour in my honor....WOW. I feel special! I would love to make it this weekend, but the Monday work thing will prevent that. However, I will be off in Sept. Diving still happening then?

Hey Mark, how about the last week of October? :teeth:

I have to get to the warmer water in September, Mark... we will save the colder California diving extravaganza for the end of October when ZD gets here :twist:

New job begins in Oct. I don't know if I can take a week off after only 3 weeks on the job, but if so, I am there!!

So MostlySingle- One just has to "have" a snorkel to dive Laguna, not necessarily have it attached or use it?

I wonder what they'd say if I came with a snorkel equipped with a very short end to it (so it doesn't interfere with my videotaping)? It's kind of like when I was in college and they required a coat and tie to eat all three meals in the school dining hall. You could get in if you weren't wearing a shirt, or with shorts (but not boxers... I tried).

My understanding is that one simply has to have a snorkel somewhere on their person in order to dive. You have to be able to shown that you have one. They said nothing about actually using it. And, if necessary it is easily accessible and I can reach AND use it if necessary. I can also attach it if need be, but I prefer not to.
