Now, I've heard of cattle cars, and people do joke about flying Southwest Airlines as being a "cattle call", but boy......talk about being able to tell what kind of change the guy next to you has in his pocket! 
And to think, this is probably their daily commute. ACK!

I hear that this is the norm during rush hour in Tokyo. Supposedly, the uniformed guys are hired specifically as "pushers".
