Here's the deal. I have a flight credit on Southwest that expires the 14th of Feb, so any travel has to be completed by then. I live in St. Louis, and would love to go somewhere warm to do some diving, but need a dive buddy for a last minute sorta trip. So I'm wondering if someone out there, (maybe a girl ;-) would like a dive buddy someplace warm where Southwest would take me. Or maybe you could recommend a place I cold go and just do some diving with a group or something? Any ideas would be appreciated! Man it's been a long time since I've been on this site. Nice to know it's still around and doing well.

Come to kindly terms with your Ass, for it bears you.

The only place I know of that is warm right now is So. FL!! I'm in NW FL and it was 28 when I got in my car this morning. There are a lot of great SD down south though. If you can get down there around West Palm or somewhere I'm sure you will find some buddies.

BTW, we're glad you back!! Stick around and we'll talk you into going on a trip with us!! :dancing:
As for me, I'm feeling pretty scubalicious.

We have a couple of people from the Dallas area coming to the West Palm Beach area the 31st and Feb1st. Why not fly here and join in the fun!! We are planning a weekend of diving and socializing!

That sounds like it would be cool. But man, I just looked at airfares these days, since my travel lately has been for work. They're nuts! I have $220 from Southwest, so given the cost of flights, it would be about a %50 credit. Not the free flight I was hoping for. Something tells me a flight to Buffalo in February would be a bit cheaper, but I don't think I'd want to do any diving there.

Hey WreckWench! Great hearing from you. Glad to see things are still gong strong with the site. I'd really like to get on another trip. I keep thinking about what a great trip that Saba CEII trip was for me. I'd go anywhere that chef on the boat is right now. I'll try and post soon to the returning member area. Talk soon.

Now ya talking! We have LOTS of great choices and at least one more EV liveaboard with a chef as good or better than the Saba trip. And the Spree is pretty darn good which is great considering I'll be stuffing my face TWICE this year with them! :thankyou:

Ooooooooooo I can't wait! Now don't take too long to choose a trip! :thankyou:

Hi,
I was told by an airline rep that for small fee of $10 they would extend the deadline to use a credit by another year. It was not SouthWest airline, but she said that the airlines don't usually share that information. So, if you don't want to feel pressured to use the credit right away, you might ask if they can extend the expiry for you.
I have an airline credit that I thought had to be used to book by August of this year, but that travel could be after August. Based on what you mention below about the rules for your credit that travel must be done by the expiry date, not just booking, I'm going to have to double-check that.
good luck!

Are you sure TRAVEL needs to be completed by expire date?? If you have a credit that expires soon, choose some better dates that work for you 6 -12 months out and buy that SW ticket. You probably only need to use the credit to BUY a future trip by expiration date, not nessecarly to travel by that date. Last time I used credits that's how it worked many moon ago.
Good luck. Ss
