I would be glad to help arrange something in the San Diego/ Orange County/ LA area. Hopefully our LA cohorts would be able to make it down??? Scott is right. San Fran is a little far away for a SoCal happy hour

Hey CA'ers! Sounds like its time to have some more fun in CA! And it sounds like we need to do a Southern and Northern CA Happy Hour as suggested!

Scott would you start working on a NorCal HH and Rosa would you start on a SoCal HH? I'm sure others will volunteer to help you if you take the lead!

Hey Shamuloves me....Just got back from our awesome trip to Honduras...make sure you read the trip report if you are planning this trip in December! (You'll find it under here once we get it written up!)

WW, I finally put MSN Driving in my computer favorites so I can get to it easily.

I lived out there when I was in the Marines, so this was not news. Los Angeles to San Diego: Total Distance: 120.9 Miles; Estimated Total Time: 1 hour, 46 minutes

Yeah - right, 121 miles in 1-3/4 hours. I use this as a source, but don't take the answers in faith. "Traffic jams notwithstanding."

Anyway, this gives you an idea of how close these two southern Calf metro areas are. :hiya:

Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Posted Image Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

No kidding, DD. I've had it take six hours to go from SD to LA before! 1.5 hours on a weeknight will just about get me from where I live to LAX (18 mi.)!

I've done L.A. to San Diego in less than 1.75 hours before.... it's all in how well you maneuver! (Stunt Driver. Closed Course. Do not attempt.)

Then again, I too once experienced the 6-hour commute that Jamie describes. One of the few times I've actually had to get off the freeway and "wait out the storm" for a couple of hours. And it was in picturesque Carson, of all places.... beautiful countryside, with quaint oil refineries and endless strip malls!

I would be more than happy to help set up a Calif. Happy Hour, if it means having it in San Diego instead of L.A.! Maybe we should start with a roll call to see who would be interested, and what part of the city/state those people live in, so we can figure out a location. For instance, if it's only going to be SD people, we could have it in the central part of town. If some L.A. people want to come, we could pick somewhere in Carlsbad/Oceanside, or even in Orange County.

ROLL CALL!

Thanks Mike....Rosa aka DiveGirl412 is your co-chair! She is also working on a role call for the SoCal Happy Hour. I'm working on a list of members from the area you can contact as well!

Thanks a million for offering to help! It will be a blast! Another idea...Zendiver is coming to visit his daughter and do some diving around the end of October. You may be able to combine something with his visit as well!
