I used to have them in Orlando, offered to do one in Lakeland, but those that said they would attend have not been seen. I'm willing to try again - when is good for you? During the week, Friday night or Saturday for those who have a road trip?

Sorry took so long to reply, holiday weekend!

Friday Sat best I would think for most people. WHere are most people coming from? Sarasota, Clearwater, Tampa, Lakeland?

Something for June would be great!
If you wanted it in the Tampa Bay area I would be happy to suggest some locations.

Most of those attending in the past have been from Orlando. There have been one from Tampa, one from St Pete, one from Winter Haven, one from Melbourne and one from Jacksonville. that is why I suggested Lakeland. I will create a thread and see if I can get any interest.

I know last summer we tried to organize one in the midwest - around lake okoboji. It kind of fell through, and supposedly happened sometime in winter. But I would be up for doing a happy hour/dive day at okoboji, this summer, maybe July? Anyone?

Lake Okoboji is always on the dive site list for when I visit my sister in South Dakota. Now that I know you are somewhat local to that area I will let you know when I am headed out there next (Fall time likely) and we'll plan an HH and a dive day! My sister and niece both dive! We've dove the Missouri River above and BELOW the dam near Picksville, SD - oh the stories.... :cool1:

I am within a few hours of Lake Okoboji. There was a HH last winter, I couldn't make it either, sounds like Scubahawk, PrairieDiver and SeaUrchin had a good time. If another Happy Hour gets planned I will do what I can to attend.

I'd be interested if given sufficient advanced warning. Also, I would vote for Orlando since I live on the East coast (Titusville). Let me know if anything happens...

DEMA is in Orlando this year in November. If no Happy Hours are planned between now and then, DEMA week may be a great time to plan one.

Welcome Diver Dan! Not sure when the next happy hour is in your neck of the woods, but we are getting together up here in East Texas at Athens Scuba Park this weekend. We'd sure love to have you join us!

:diver: Diver Dan :D Welcome to the board. I usually try to plan a Happy Hour about every other month in the Houston area. The next one will probably be sometime in October. Keep an eye on the Central Region SD events, that's where it will be posted. Make sure your email address is up to date in your profile, and I will send you an email when I set a date.

Also, we are going to be diving at Lake Athens the weekend of Oct 28 & 29. It would be great if you could join us.

So any SD's in Palm Harbor or Tampa or Clearwater - not forgetting Tarpoon Springs.
Any recommended dive clubs?

Paul
