This happened when I was diving in the Red Sea last week (I was in the North though). The word in the dive community on our last night ashore 2 days after the tragedy, alleged a "private boat" was feeding chickens to the sharks a few days earlier. I tend to believe this as the dive industry is massive in the Red Sea and they do practice self regulation (most are internationally managed) and an incident like this effects all dive operators. This is a really sad story, not just for the family of the French woman, but for the diving industry in the Red Sea:

The question is - how can you educate the selfish minority that such practices are not only forbidden, but why and the potential consequences of such actions?

Here is another mention of, I believe, the same incident. Seems she was the only one "attacked." Was only one shark involved in the attack? http://lite.alertnet...k/L21015454.htm
SDHH in Seattle this weekend? Hum? What did you say? I just need to know. Tell me it is so!
