Just a FYI,Not to long ago, there was a thread mentioned with Healthy habits for NEW YEARS resolutions, etc. I thought I would throw this out.I am :tears: tooting my horn on this one .I am going to be smoke free for a year in about one week.Since I quite I have seen & feel the results. Now that I have been doing the Health club routine,I'm going to do my 1st indoor Triathalon, scheduled for April. I am with Lifetime Fitness.I noticed they have locations all across the country.TEXAS (super sized for affect) NEXT MONTH Feb, SEVERAL LOCATIONS & March for Kansas. Its a easy 10 min swim,30 min bike & 30 min run.I'm currently doing 3/4 of mile in 45 min swim. The running I'll work on,etc. :)

I know there are some real atheletes out there, that this is a walk in the park.

I compete in duathlons, 3 mile run/18 mile bike/3 mile run. I wouldn't think an indoor triathlon is a walk in the park. But that is just because I hate indoor training. I would rather ride my bike than a stationary bike for comfort and technical reasons, and running on a treadmill is boring. The advantage is that there is no wind or hills and I am a chaser so I would have nobody in front of me to catch. Unless they set the bikes and treadmill up on different course settings that would adjust as you went along, but again, that leads back to using my own equipment and knowing the gear ratios on my bike. The swimming is my weak point, but currently because of a shoulder injury that is taking its time recovering after doctors attempted to fix it.

I wish you luck in this. I think it would be a good start to doing regular triathlons

I'm not a real athlete. :-D

I like the idea of 10 min swim, 30 min bike, and 30 min run, sounds like my speed and what I could benefit from doing, I wonder if there's something like this in the Denver area. Anybody who's more of an athlete than me ;) know?

Greg, don't forget to add proper diet to that equation. If you really want to feel great then both eat right and exercise. The exercise part is alot easier than the eating right part in my experience.
