I'd also be interested in a Socorros trip. It's on my "want to dive" list.

Socorros and Las Revillagados is great trip. Did it in Nov 1999 on SolmarV. The best for giant mantas that swim with you for a while. And supposedly in February Blue Whales, which is when I would want to do it again. Of course, I also want to do Coiba and Malpelo combo in February or March next year too. Ha! Maybe back to back in the Central America Pacific!! Some kind of 21 day "Muy Loco". ;)

Heard Maldives were good (before reading these reports) :birthday:

What about Phuket ??

Jeff

The diving wasn't bad - it just wasn't fantasic and didn't match the hype. Or maybe I am just a spolit diving diva :thankyou: So, to give you an idea, attached are some pics I took late November last year - just coming into peak diving season. You can see for yourself :D

Personally, I think it is difficult to beat the Far East, particularly the coral triangle - has highest bio-diversity in the world as we all know.

Incidently, its prime whaleshark season Oct - Dec off Djibouti but it is a wee bitty close to Somalia...

Maldives, Maldives, Maldives!

Hi Sea Urchin,
Have you seen my posting? I am going to Maldives this November and need a travel companion as my friend canceled on me a few weeks ago. Please check out my posts.
Thanks, Eileen

Since you are talking "fall" rather than that certain two week window at the end of December...it's highly unlikely I'd have an opportunity to join on either. If at some point either were scheduled for a teacher-friendly time period, I'd be interested in either but especially Maldives.

Being a teacher, you probably have off the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving? I'm going to Maldives this November and need a travel companion. Please check out my posts.
Thanks, Eileen
