What dive site was that?

Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed. Neil Armstrong & Buzz Aldrin on the moon, Michael Collins in the command module orbiting -  July 20, 1969

It looks like it’s going to be another fine day - John Wayne

What dive site was that?

Shore dive near the turtle farm, northwest side, called Turtle Reef. Dive shop is called Sundivers. There is a bar / restaurant there, too. We saw many turtles there (video later).

Those girls had their first ever swimming pool dive in the morning. In the afternoon the instructor took them to 52 feet at this site! Scubaski and I had been diving the mini-wall there and were heading back to the beach when we came upon them. They are with a San Diego church come to the island to help the poor people! lol

They looked like new divers :-D

I had my first ocean dive at Eagle Ray Pass and I'm sure I looked just like them to the DM I was with :-D

I love that site, especially that cave that's usually full of tarpon and has a resident monster of a barracuda hanging out at the entrance.

And, the wildlife you filmed here could benefit from the SD Rent-A-Buddy program! :-D Did you recruit them?

Current was runing right to left so we saw the north or NE shoulder of the wall, local DM,s qued us in on the cave w/ tarpon but it'll have to wait until next dive. Always recruiting and promoting divers and SD.com future members, But I think they may still need parental permission!!!!

Hey Texas Diver, I had a grand time in Grand Cayman. Thanks for posting up the offer to share your room, although I've slept on better jail house :birthday: mattresses. HA!!!!! (insider joke) .That's what's great about the SD.com community. We can share ideas, experinces, referrals, information and dive trip accomadations and dives.

I saw a new video posted at Turtle Reef. Did Mike and Maryann do a shore dive with you?

We'll buddy-up on a future trip....Although it will have to be a Waffle Free Zone :teeth:
Fun & Safe Diving,
Ss

I saw a new video posted at Turtle Reef. Did Mike and Maryann do a shore dive with you?

Same place, Turtle Reef, but a different Mike - this one from New Orleans. He did the "resort course" consisting of an intro dive in the swimming pool in the morning followed by the shore dive in the afternoon. I leave the island tomorrow.
