George,VERY COOL. Do they live in a specific area? They don't mention this but,I'm guessing they must have a similiar body DNA or structure like a Squid. It can change it's color from what I have seen.Has anyone seen these?

We were fortunate enough to find one in Palau. They're really fascinating to see underwater, and the one we found seemed to be more curious than shy.

They are cephalapods, so they're in the same class as squid.

Wonderful. Thank you, georoc01. I saw one while snorkeling in front of my hotel in Jamaica. Such a treat to see this! :cheerleader:

LOL! Not many people know about linguine with cuttlefish ink. My Sicilian grandmother's specialty! Seeing these beauties up close kind of makes me rethink the dish though.

My husband and I saw a couple of REALLY big ones in Sipidan, Malasia. As they moved away from us, they immediately changed colors to match the surroundings, just like the video. Really fascinating to watch. They were close to an area that looked like a giant stack of hay. One of the divemasters said they were protecting their eggs. Not sure on that, but sounded logical to me. Thanks for sharing the video. Brought back some great memories. :wakawaka:
