Welcome to our new website! We've redesigned the home page, updated the forum software and improved our online payment system! And we've just begun!

Since so many changes have already occurred and will continue to occur we've created special forum for ALL the changes.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT NOTIFICATIONS
Your notification options did not transfer in the move, they were overridden with default values. That happened automatically and we had no control over it. The first thing everyone should do is click on the arrow next to your user name up in the right hand corner of the screen. Select my settings and then notification options. Here you can set how you wish to be notified for things that happen on the board. There are tons of notification options and many will trigger an email by default. Please note that we have a limited number of emails we are allowed to send per hour so keep that in mind. Now with that in mind, if you have email notification of PM's turned on and you have everything else set to notification by PM, basically everything will trigger an email and you will quickly grow tired of this. It is possible to turn the notification off completely by unchecking all of the boxes on that row.

This is your required OPT-OUT procedure.


If you have problems setting your notifications then email admin@singledivers.com and we will set them for you.

First of all welcome to the new home for Singledivers.com! The new host supporting software has a slightly different look and feel, but if you take a moment to examine the board index page you will soon see the layout is pretty much the same with just a few tweaks.

On the old board, the link to Latest Posts section (to see what has happened since their last visit) was displayed at the top of the page. This link is now at the top right of the page, labeled "View New Content".

Of course, you can always drill down into forums from the Surface Interval Index level, this architecture was transferred unchanged. The format of topic displays are a little different but should be easily recognizeable.

The most confusing change on the new layout seems to be those features that managed personal settings such as Profile Information, Avatar Upload, Manage Private Message and other Notifications, etc. On the old board these features were accessed through the My Controls link. Now there is a listbox that pulls down directly alongside the member's login display at the top right side of the page. Click the Down Arrow beside the member name and old (as well as a few new) options appear:

NOTE One: The other arrow farther to the right opens a list of Notifications, i.e. Private Message receipts or Bulletins.

NOTE Two: There is much more flexibility in controlling certain features; newer users in particular may feel a bit overwhelmed. Please remember that in the vast majority of cases, the default settings are acceptable and in fact should reflect the old board configuration. We are including all tabs and submenus as a reference as an option for more experienced users to manage their account settings. PLEASE, if you are not sure what may result from changing a particular setting after reading the accompanied description do NOT change before contacting an Angel, Charlie or Mod for help!

NOTE Three: Over the near term, certain feature options described below may later be disabled by the Admin group as redundant, superfluous or beyond standard member privileges (read: may be dangerous or cause mayhem for the Admins!) *grins* We will strive to update the FAQ's list if and when such changes occur.

*A-hem!* All that said, the listbox features break down as follows.

My Profile - manages personal profile information from About Me to Zip Code. (grins) On the left side is current information, and across the page below the blue stripe are tabs for

1. Recent Status Updates - Not commonly used, but is a way to let others catch up with current infor about you at a glance
2. About Me - A brief backround block, also displays as your Signature Line for posts (when enabled)
3. Topics - A list of the topics which you have created, most recent first.
4. Posts - A similar list, but for topics in which you have replied.
5. Gallery - Your photo posts, whether in a public or private (your Member) galleries.

My Settings - This link from the listbox opens a page with the following panes:
1. Settings - Here you can: Change Email Address, Change Password, Manage Notes, Manage Attachments, (edit) Notification Options, and (edit) Your Notifications
2. Forums - Here you can manage: Board Preferences, Watched Topics, Watched Forums, and Announcements
3. Profile - Here you can find and edit your Profile Information, About Me Page, Signature, Personal Photo, and Avatar
4. Gallery - Photos and album posts and management

My Content - A compilation of topics in which you have created and/or posted.

Messenger - The new name for Private Message feature. (Only available to Premier and above members)

Manage Friends

Manage Ignored Users

My Gallery - For upload and management of your personal photos and albums

Manage Paid Subscriptions - To upgrade or renew a membership subscription, i.e. Premier or Partner
