For once, I am being serious. As a newby, there is always something to learn.

So I want to know, what is your favorite piece of diving equipment?

I'll start...I recently bought the Zeagle Brigade from ScubaToys. This is a Zeagle Ranger harness, but with the Escape bladder. In other words, its the more durable harness (e.g. steel D rings) but the smaller bladder (better for travel, those that don't need the lift of the Ranger or want the bulk of the Ranger). This thing fits great. Packs up light. The chicks dig it. I love it.

So talk to me...

I finally ditched the belt and got a weight intergrated BCD - HEAVEN! My knighthawk would be in bed with me at night - if it ever got dry.

Well...I don't have any specific favorites. Tonight after work, I picked up my new BC (Scubapro Ladyhawk with safety second-stage), regulator (Scubapro MK25 AF/2600), and computer (Suunto Cobra).

So it's all cool to me right now! :taz: :birthday: :cool2:

And I get to try them all out in the Texas Flower Gardens this weekend. :lmao:

I don't need the lift, I need that $50,000 Hummer we were talking about.

Can I just get 500 $100 hummers?

Oh yea, I switched mask straps to one of the velcro, padded deals.... I love that little thing.

Gotta say my Atomic Z1 regulator. Sweet! It breathes so much better than any other reg I've ever tried.

my favorite toy would be the saddle assembly for my apallo scooter. It lets me dive two scooters at full speed and be in control! I can cover SO much area.

I have the Cobra and wish I had gone wrist mount instead. Still it's a good little computer and provides some additional safety because it's a tad more conservative than most computers. The software is good too...once you figure out how to use it.

Oh that's easy, my Dolphin rebreather. For regular gear, I love my Uwatec Z02. It is wrist-mounted and air-integrated. I love it even more after I set the alarms so they weren't going beeping all the time.

I can use any equipment, so I'm not all that picky, but I wouldn't trade my fins for anything I've ever tried (and I have tested bunches). Scubapro Lightning Jets are by far the best fins I've ever used.

Next would be my Scubapro Classic Sport BC. It's streamlined and doesn't trap air, unlike the Zeagle, which I think is a poorly designed BC. It is not weight integrated, so I don't have all those issues with which to deal. Yes, I've used a BP/Wings BC, it's ok, but nothing special, I still prefer my Classic Sport.

My BC has gone full circle, I started with a tank backpack, went to various jacket style BC's, the last being an Oceanic Sport that my son now uses and now I love my SS FredT backplate with a Halcylon wing. No more riding up or twisting while I'm diving and much better riding on my back out of the water, a condition I try to avoid. Like TF says, it's like diving with nothing on!
One problem, when diving tropical I only have 2 pounds ditchable so I need to get an AL B/P.

unlike the Zeagle, which I think is a poorly designed BC.

Walter, as a very happy Zeagle owner, I would love to some specifics from you on why you think its poorly designed.
