I am going to Ireland in a couple of months with some of my brothers to search out our ancestors. We will be starting in each bar in town. Anyone been diving in the Dingle area? I checked it out on a search, incl a 1999 article in DIVER and it looks like some pretty decent diving, although COLD water (I know Diverlady, I am a wuss).

WW, always looking to spread the singledivers.com gospel to the world. So do you think I may find many single scuba divers in the bars in Ireland? Well, that would be considered diving I guess, esp if it is in a "dive bar". What is the absolute pressure in the bottom of a large mug of Guinness? And would it be measured in "feet barley water" instead of feet sea water? (or meters, being in the old world)

Thanks DL, I had done a web search for Ireland diving and got lots of info. I was wondering if any of the North American diver clan had actually been diving there.

Yes I am!!! And yes I hope you do!! And I ALWAYS need the help of great people like DiverLady and others to help me spread the gospel as you call it!!

As for:

Please do some scientific analysis and get back to us with your findings after your trip!! I'm sure they will best be reviewed with copious amounts of 'barley water'...or is that best understood with copious amounts!!! LOL!!!

One of my favorite brews which you can't get in the US is Kilkenny. A creamy red ale made by Guiness. Try it you love it.
