I'm signed up to dive Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary (110 miles off the coast of Houston) on the Fling from the evening of July 3 through late afternoon July 6. The trip includes diving an oil rig! I just learned that the trip may not come off because the operator hasn't been able to sign up enough divers.

Craig,your the 1st one to mention this,recently.It's on my bucket list.Would love to,but not this July..My shoulder needs the healing time..

I am coordinating a trip for a group that is going from the 1st - 3rd, and I know one person out of my group dropped. If those dates are an option maybe there is a spot to be had. We are 15 divers just in my group so I know it's not cancelling for lack of bookings
I had the opportunity to dive the Flower Gardens at the beginning of May this year, and it was good diving. Not for the beginner diver, but fun stuff if you haven't done it before. Here are some pics from my May trip:
