What happens when it's cold and you're wearing gloves?

Unfortunately these screens are electrically sensitive so you have to either buy special gloves or leave a finger out to work it (not fun when it's below freezing). Here's a site with gloves made for that type of thing: http://topiphonereso...-iphone-gloves/

There are also some stylus pens made to work with touch phones / pads - we seem to be going back to the Palm days with the stylus (Palms were my favorite organizers and I've found nothing that does what it did so well - RIM's blackberry can come close though and I'm sure there are others).

Just to be clear, the slide bar on the HTC phone is a lot more usable on mine than the iPhone you described. The slide bar CAN be locked, but you have the option to turn that off. Plus, you also have the option to have your email / SMS text preview on the screen without swiping anything. I have found options for almost everything which makes it quite flexible.

Also, to clarify I am not an evangelist trying to convert everyone to this brand. I know how hard it is to find something that works for you so I am just showing how I chose what I did based on my needs. Your wants/needs/desires may be completely different as has been described in previous posts. The joy of a forum is you get all sorts of opinions on whatever subject is being discussed. Lets hear your side. :D

OK, bit of a negative to report on the new beast. There seems to be an issue using the HTC Sync software with more than 50 songs. I have something like 1200 tunes I want to sync to my phone, but it never completes before the drive access cuts out. Did some research on Google and found a lot of folks are having this same issue. I get 73-75 songs into a sync and it just stops / freezes. I think it is a power save function that needs to be turned off, because it works brilliantly to start. My contacts, files, photos and vids are all there. It just seems to be music that is affected. Very annoying.

I popped the SD card out of the phone, inserted it into my PC card reader and dumped the tunes manually. They are all there now, but still a bit of a pain when the company supplied sync software does not work as advertised.
