Tentavily start diving Sept 18 with Narcosis Dive charter, Rieviera Beach, south to ProDive or American Dream in FFL, Rainbow Reef in Key Largo, Keys Dive in Islamorada, Captain Corner in KW about Sept 22. Any suggestions welcome. Dive buddies welcome. I'll touch base with Narcosis this wknd for avalibility and report back with a action plan. :2cool:

Capt's Corner will do a double dip and since they are a larger boat...if any seas come up they are not only stable but able to go out. I am not sure who else does a double dip other than private operators. But Capt's Corner knows us and say hello to Scotty one of the new DM's and also a fellow Atocha treasure salvage diver.

Sounds like a good trip planned, Stan!

I normally use Subtropic, http://www.subtropic.com/, in Key West. They offer a daily morning double-dip of the Vandy.

Hey Cous, I was going to give you a PM Shout Out to you. You want to dive somewhere that week along the keys?

Subtropic has had a lot of turnover lately. Not sure entirely why but they have been more difficult to work with when getting tanks for divers doing the Atocha and wanting to dive locally or get nitrox tanks. Its a shame as they were great.

I have been working recently with Lost Reef Adventures. Great organization so far. They will do a double dip on the Vandy AND they take a normal max of 10 divers although they are rated to take 13. They are reasonably priced and only $10 more than the larger boat operations in the area. Tel # is 305-296-9737. They are also certifying the guys doing the new shark show on tv. I have two of our members doing their AOW starting tomorrow with them so we'll give you a full report later this week.

Nothing to add re: Key West, but I just went out with out with Narcosis last weekend and they are great! The dive boat is a plenty big and even though it's more diver's than my personal preference (which is 6) it didn't feel crowded on the boat or on the dive site. We even had scooters and they were great with them, I have found the operators in WPB in general to be very professional and on top of things but Narcosis really stands out to me.

Would love to dive with you again, Cous, but Sanja and I will be in Italy and Croatia September 13 to October 5, so we won't be available. Next time?
