I came across this article coinicidentally parrallels my other post: "My son's test dive".
So I don't waste space here , I posted the link here and let you read the article..It's interesting to find out the %'s related to equipment failure & "Weight " related accident's..Hope you guy's find this informative & interesting as I did....

Myth No.6: The guide/instructor/buddy will take care of me.

That one is really wrong.


Myth No.7: If I feel warm, I am warm.

No, it just means you just peed your wetsuit.


Myth No.8: You can't exceed the no-decompression limits on a single tank.

Sure you can. You just have to apply yourself.


Myth No.10: Sharks are a major threat to divers.

Wrong, bad buddies are.

There are two other related myths. The first is that you can't incur more minutes of deco than you've been down for. The second is that you will actually be able to surface in the "ascent time" shown by your computer.
