Hi!!! I am new to the site - saw it while surfing scubaboard. I would like to make some new friends and END my fear of meeting and talking to new people! I am extremely shy but that's one of the reasons I became a diver a few years ago - divers are always so friendly. Thanks for making me feel welcome Deb and WW.

Hi Sandy!

Welcome to SD!! Glad you made it here. Don't worry, no one here at SD bites. Well at least not much!

I know what you mean about being shy and finding it difficult to meet people. When I went on the Coz singles trip I made a point of taking some souvenir pens and pins which meant I had to walk up and talk to every single person there!! Good planning, eh!!

Yeah I know: I've been branded a non-group person - doesn't play well with others. I am so upset. Posted Image Let me know if you want to have some fun, without the drama - I'm good for that.

Hi Sandy!

Thanks for posting an introduction. I know how hard that can be when you're shy. As I told you in a PM, I was once extremely shy myself. I know it's hard to tell now, but it's something I overcame.

Let's go diving!

Hey Sandy!

I'm another shy one ( no comments, Walter) & I find it a lot easier to express myself here. Hopefully, with this forum serving as an intro, we'll be nice & comfortable when we all start meeting face to face!

Hi Sandyke!

Its great to see that you swam in for a visit...hope you decide to stay! You'll find this to be a very friendly board ESPECIALLY for shy people so perhaps you won't be that way for too long! (It worked for Walter and Marvel!)

I'd like to say that I'm shy but that would have only been true for the first 9 months of my life...after that...I've been pretty much 'out there'!!! LOL!!!

I hope you'll plan to join us diving...maybe even in June for Bonaire the 13-20th? DiverLady was pretty shy her first trip with us but not anymore!

Thank you again for stopping in to see us! I'm thrilled Deb and others invited you and you took her up on it!

Since you are in the local area...we are starting to plan local area events which I hope you'll plan to join in on! You'll find them posted under the What in the World North America forum. You'll find all kinds of regional events and informal diving going on in that forum as well. I hear you are going to join us in Athens and that is where the Athens trip is listed at!

As for official singles trips...they are under Single Trips on the board and MORE details are posted under Upcoming Trips on the main homepage of www.SingleDivers.com If you have ideas on how to make the site better or where you'd like to dive just check out FeedBack and Suggestions. And if you have any problems...just check out Site Support and Help.

You can always pm myself, or Walter or Zendiver for any question you have and we'll be thrilled to help you! -Wreck Wench

 sandyke...glad you stopped by and hope that you will call this home. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that are ready and willing to help in anyway, all you have to is ask.

I was wondering if you was going to make it over here. I am really glad that you finally did. You will definitely get over your shyness here. ;)

Don't forget to take a look at our website at SingleDivers.com. We are constantly upgrading and would love to see you on one of our upcoming trips.

Again, welcome to our little place on the net where having fun is what it is all about.
