Stan,
I guess their range is greater than what I thought.i.e. Austrailia & off the coast of Africa. The food chain is the navigator for them....I was under the impression they didn't cross over to the America side...

Great White sharks are cosmopolitan. Not too far away from the Cape, Montauk, NY is known for its Great Whites. In fact, Frank Mundus, the person about whom Quint from "Jaws" was based, operated a charter boat out of Montauk.

We have a few roaming around nearshore off Catalina. So far they haven't mistaken me for a sea lion!
