Being in CA means you have some great diving in your backyard... some even consider CA to be exotic diving with all the kelp and um... 'sharks'! LOL!
So use our forums to learn more about this great sport... read old threads...they are all nice and balanced and FUN!!! And start new ones...all divers entering our sport still have lots of questions and that is great!
So splash around and we are glad you found us! And hopefully one day we'll meet you on a trip too!

Of course I also recommend stopping by Kamala's Upcoming Trips topic; think of it as window shopping for your first big dive adventure, with quasi-pre-introduced group of experienced and helpful dive buddies, when you are ready!

Congratulations to you on getting your cert!! It's the best thing I've ever done!! I waited awhile before I got my AOW, but it really helped me with my buoyancy.
Enjoy the site and making new buddies! I hope to dive with you sometime!
If you can't eat it or play with it,

Each wreck has a tale to tell about its life and its demise.
If you are observant while diving in dark places listen to the account each has to tell, You cannot come away unaffected.
