We are trying to get a Pau Hana going for the Hawaii members. As of now I am looking at 20 Nov.

Our big challange??? About half our members are on Oahu and half are on the Big Island. Sooooo, Kini (who is taking the lead for the Big Island) and I are thinking of one combined Pau Hana every 6 months alternating islands. We can have as many inbetween as we want on our seperate islands.

For the first one, I think it would be great to try and do a combined one so we can all meet each other. Since Kini will be working most weekends for at least the next couple of months, I'm thinking we should go to the Big Island so maybe she can join us in the evening.

So, I guess the two big questions are...who from Oahu is willing to fly to the Big Island (we could get some diving in while we're there) and are folks on the BI willing to put us so we don't have hotel costs?

Also, anyone looking to visit our paradise in that timeframe is more than welcome to join us.

That time frame is bad for me because I'll be flying to the mainland on 11/23. It is right around Thanksgiving so maybe some folks will be around for that from the mainland. So I can't make that one on the Big Island. Sorry.

Let me know when you get some dates set. I am planning on being on Oahu and the Big Island summer 05. Will try to schedual my trip to fit into your happy hour plans.

I am definately interested. The cost from N. Cal to HI airfair wise is fairly inexpensive. Keep me informed when you actually get a date picked.

I was afraid last weekend would be too close to Thanksgiving for everyone.

For all the folks in Hawaii, is there a good weekend in Jan and Feb, and where should we try and get everyone together, Oahu or the Big Island??? Members are about evenly split between the two.

For folks planning on visiting sometime in 2005, just keep me informed when and what island. If this one doesn't work for you, we will just have to plan another around your visit.

How are you? This idea sounds like a great time. I've been wanting to dive BI for sometime now. Been to Maui, Kauai and Oahu. Diving there was so so but, heard Kona is much much better. Jan/Feb would be perfect for me. Keep me posted.
