BEAUTIFUL Barbados July 13-20, 2013...SAVE THE DATES AND LET US KNOW IF YOU WANT ADVANCE NOTICE WHEN THE TRIP OPENS UP!



SAVE THE DATES...we are doing Turtle Tagging & Research AND LOTS OF GREAT DIVING in Barbados July 13-20th. You can arrive early or stay longer... stay tuned for full details and check out trip a couple of years ago in the link below!

We can have a SPECIAL TURTLE TAGGING PROJECT where we get to name any turtles that we catch that do not have a name and we'll stay at Gibbs Bay Inn right across from the Beach which was a very nice converted mansion. All the rooms now have AC and the price is awesome... looking at less than $1200 for 7 nites, breakfast, 5 days of 2 tank dives and 1 dinner. I'm still working on pricing so it could be better and/or we could include more amenities.

Let me know what you think...it will be very similar to our trip HERE a few years ago.... ONLY CHEAPER!!!

I'd be interested in Barbados. Been there before and thought the diving was very good. Timing seems right - I'll be working until July, so will be looking forward to vacation!

Well its official...save the dates for this amazing trip! Turtle research is educational, cool to do and relevant to saving our oceans. Plan to be part of this important effort AND enjoy very fun diving as well. -ww

The resort has confirmed we can get the earlier dates so now its a matter of checking with the other two peeps firmly interested. I have sent a pm to all so hopefully will know shortly and we can lock this in!

Can you please explain this diving trip and how it is different from any other diving trip?
Will we still be having our 3 dives a day and going to different dive sites around Barbados?
I like the first set of dates you proposed and would likely only do this trip if offered then.

I'm interested in this trip! I only spent 1/2 day on Barbados during a cruise and never got to Scuba, so Id like to see what it offers. Turtle tagging is a nice bonus, although I have no idea what that entails.

Also, I'm good with either date.

Hey all potential Barbados trip goers...

I am changing the dates on this trip for Kamala to the 13th through the 20th, because she is extremely swamped right now.

Sorry Carol, I notice that you were interested in the later dates, but Kamala had already made the change. To answer your question, all Singledivers trips are a little bit different, some offer things like the Turtle tagging which most divers find rather interesting. We were able to witness the turtle hatching in Cozumel a couple years ago, which was an absolutely amazing thing to watch. This trip will have 5 days of 2 tank dives at different dive sites, unless she has made some other arrangements that I'm not aware of. You would be able to dive with the researchers and observe the process of collecting the informaton from the turtles that have already been tagged, and the tagging of the ones that have not already been tagged, and naming them. /> They probably will not be diving with the group for the entire week, but Kamala will have to check on that. You do not have to watch the turtle tagging process. You will be able to do your regular dive, the researchers will just be part of the group. As Tim said, it's an added bonus.

Hope you all can make this trip. I will be taking a close look at it for myself when it becomes open for booking.
