i think its like a 6-7 hour drive from chicago, its just south of st. louis, and i will keep ya posted if i do decide to go, they were planning it for like the end of feb. , thank everyone for your input.

Yikes! You don't need ice diving gear my friend, you need luggage! C'mon out where the weather and the water are warmer!the local dive quarry closes this weekend till ice diving in feb. all the boats are yanked outa lake michigan, something is better then nothing? lol
