I usually only use skins in water temps of 80+. If you have been diving in Dominica before, can you tell me what the water was like? The web says 80+ but want to be sure that is actually so. If I don't need to bring my 3mm it will help with luggage weight. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks   Sallybok

Ive never used more than a skin in 3 trips and I am used to Texas heat.  It will be over 80F.

Hello, you will love Dominica, I have been twice, sad to miss this year.  I usually dive in my 3 mil, I tend to get chilled after the 60 minute+ dives.  Enjoy, hope you find the batfish!!!

The TRUE AND ACTUAL TEMP is 80. BUT...better to bring something and not need it then need it and not have it. No one knows how another person reacts to temperature NOR to repetitive diving nor to wind or breeze nor to rain etc. All these factors can make you colder than the actual water temp.

BRING THE SUIT and do not stress anymore. FORGET THE SUIT and take your chances. You can rent a thin shorty worn by a million people if you find you need one if you don't bring your personal one.
