OPEN ACTION ITEMS FOR THIS TRIP:

 

1. I sent requests for nitrox pricing and night boat dives etc. PLEASE do not delay opening the trip for these. I will send them as soon as I get them and I can forward them.

2. I sent helpful info via screen captures via email. It could not be formatted without struggling and I was just retyping it but ran out of time. I am sorry.

3. I don't typically have the same discounts for a trip but I am tired and do not want to chg them up too much as its more work for all of us. However going forward I will typically be a bit more creative. For now getting trips open and getting money inhouse is paramount. I just paid another $9k on Bahamas and its not even open to sell.

1. NOTE if anyone does the non diver rate they have to do a d/o in a KING but it will not qualify for the sleep together discount. The sleep together is for 2 DIVERS ONLY.

We have to make that clear somehow.

 

2. I will try to find the info I sent Scott. I hope I did all the early booking stuff detaiils. If not I will do it today.

3. You have to go the website and get the info for Aarvak for the accommodations. Again I thought someone did this already. Guess when we could not figure out some pricing issues everything else stopped.

DATA NEEDED FOR THE TRIP DETAILS:

 

Entry Requirements:

Passports for U.S. Citizens are not required for the U.S. Virgin Islands, but you must be prepared

to show evidence of citizenship upon leaving (such as a government issued photo ID or

your passport). All other nationalities are required to have passports for entry to the Island. It is your responsibility to ensure your own visa requirements, and no refunds will be awarded for customers denied access for lack of a proper visa.

 

Attention Smokers:

The Virgin Islands SmokeFree Act prohibits smoking virtually anywhere on the

island with the exception of private homes and on public streets and sidewalks.

**ONE NOTE**  At the end of the last discussion, we only set up rooms for Divers because based on the room configurations everyone had to be a Diver for this trip.  I think we agreed to advertise a “Sleep Together Discount” as reflected in the table.  All the SKUs, payments etc were built to reflect this configuration as well.

 

​Recommend a statement to reflect "A limited number of Non-diver spots are available, contact SD if you are interested".

 

Hika site is basically built but I still need:

-        Determination on Non-Diver room (the Skus were not built for this, only the shared King)

Ran into some travel delays with out wifi at the airport Crappy cellular too. I will get this one done but FL may slip til I get to pI. I hope not but we will see.

Even though this post if not entirely updated I DID UPDATE the price to reflect the xfers and I updated the what's included. THANK YOU FOR GETTING THE TABLE DONE.

 

Due to needing to get trip open and needing to juggle rooms let 's go with your non-diver statement. PERFECT!!!

I will see if I can find the extras in the info I have...if not I will request it and we can add it later. WE HAVE TO OPEN AS SOON AS WE CAN. The resort is already pushing me for how many rooms we have sold.

Is the pricing for the king correct in the table?  You listed the non-diver (which we are not using now???) but not the king.  Hika reflects the costs in the table.

SKUs for Nitrox, Night Dives, and CF100 tanks have been added, but hidden until we get prices.  No changes to the table, or Hika as I believe all 16 reservations must be divers.  But we just need to clean up the post to reflect if a Non-diver wants to join to just contact SD for more information. 
 
I am not completely sure how we would handle the Non-diver situation if required.  My recommendation would be to create a special coupon code for the non-diving person - much like we do for "Pup".  We can then adjust the inventory, send them the code and then have them book with the coupon and then we don't have to publish the prices, change the website etc. 
 
I added the Early Booking Discounts.  However, believe the post needs to change to confirm with the data standard so each should end with a "EBD" for example 18STX75EBD.... this is how they are loaded in Hika - please let me know if we want to update the post or Hika.

I will make the codes the same as in Hika and when it is open we will set the dates.  it is easiest to make the nondiver discounts a coupon as you suggest.

1. We can take non-divers ONLY if they are a non diving spouse going to share a bed with a diver. We can not take a snorkeler

2. I have no tinerary for this trip so we an add it later if and when one is created. - I JUST ADDED A DIVING SECTION. As you can see I took the limited info we had and restated it so we had something for this section. After all the other trips I can try and create a better itin.

3. Do you need ME to update progress payments? If so look at post 1 revised with all the info I have. I just make it up so use what I listed below. LET's GET THIS OPEN SO I DO NOT LOSE ANYMORE PEOPLE. Have had 1 email saying they made other plans because the trip was not able to be booked.

NOTE FOR FUTURE PROGRESS PAYMENT SET UP:

 

1. Ideally all payments are due 90 day prior. If the trip has a short lead time then it is 60 days.

2. Since we have no automated way of  checking to see if people have made progress payments the 90 paid in adv gives us more buffer.

3. I do not like a lot of progress payments as this drives up my accounting expenses.

DIVING INPUT:

 

As the largest of the US Virgin Islands, St Croix has a natural beauty that is both charming and awe inspiring. Its wondrous landscapes, hillsides views, ocean fronts, and downtown areas tell the story of an island rich in culture and history. The best scuba diving in the U.S. Virgin Islands is along “The Wall” that runs about 7 miles parallel to the North Shore of St. Croix. Cane Bay Dive Shop has a prime location on this northern shore. We offer our divers more than twenty different dive sites to explore within one mile in either direction as well as the "must-do" Frederiksted Pier the Wrecks at Butler bay and other west end dives.

 

Our weekly itinerary will consist of 4 days of 2 tank dives starting on Sunday and 1 day of 3 tank dives. We will also have 1 night dive at the famous Pier.

 

Diving in St Croix offers something for all skill levels with 60-90 ft of vis, mild currents, walls and water temps in the low to mid 80's this time of year. All diving is provided by Cane Bay Divers resident on the famous Cane Bay.
