OK, we're just going to wing it. So far there are 2 of us, but everyone is welcome. We are getting together for some beach dives on Saturday morning probably around Lauderdale by the Sea. We may try to hook up for some boat dives on Sunday and or Monday, but we may opt for more beach dives instead. Pretty much how the mood strikes us. If you'd like to join us, send me a PM or e-mail me (Walter at SingleDivers), I'll see you get the necessary info to find us.

I am still out of action re: diving activities due to my prior ear infection. I go back for my first re-check with the ENT on the thirteenth, but I know that I will not be cleared to dive yet.

I am also likely to be traveling for business this coming weekend, so I can't even play safety diver on the shoreline. I will know better about the trip later in the week, but it is 90 percent on at this point.

Hope you all have fun.

I'm hearing reports that it is extremely windy in SE Florida. If the weather doesn't improve, Plan B is to dive the springs instead.

You should have stuck to plan A, Walter. Went out this AM with a couple of local divers- the visability wasn'tso hot- 15 feet- & the water ws cold- 71- but still, a wonderful dive. You guys were missed! Oh, Walter? Tag- your it! :anna:

Darlin', we (divediva <Kelly>, DiveWrite <Sharon>, jeandiver <Jean>, HandyGeek <Jeff> and me) had a grand time diving the Rainbow River! Visibility was practically unlimited and the laughs were plentiful. A super group of folks, I enjoyed everyone!

Walter, what exactly did you do on the Rainbow River? Did you dive with an operator or go on your own? My plan at this point is to pick up a canoe at KP Hole and paddle up river to the park. Then drift dive back to KP Hole dragging the canoe behind us. Just curious how you did it.

Crystal Lodge operates a pontoon boat which for $10 will take you from KP Hole up to the drop off point. You can get all the way to the spring head in a canoe (motorized vessels aren't allowed), but you aren't allowed in the water at that point anyway. Our group opted for the pontoon boat. Divediva and I got tired of waiting and swam almost half way to the drop point before the boat picked us up.
