I had a great time, Walter. That's some "package" you have brother - wow! (inside joke, but great fun) LOL That vintage gear was impressive. I don't think I'll be following suit anytime soon though - I like my wetsuit! Sharon and I decided to go to Ginnie Springs next time. (Jan 29) Anyone interested?

Chilly? Well, it was fine when we were IN the water, but out of it? Next time, layers!

I had a great time with everyone at Rainbow River. It was a great chance to get wet again after 4 months, and I certainly learned a good lesson--trust my own instincts when it comes to weights! That's the last time I listen to the dive shop guy, whose advice left me about 5 pounds underweight. I'm just so darned buoyant :teeth: Still, the water was beautiful and there were lots of critters swimming around. And I'm still in awe that Walter and Kelly got as far upriver as they did! I got all of 6 feet before cashing it in for the boat ride. Way to go, you two! And huge kudos to Kelly for the snacks; that was so very sweet and appreciated, thank you.

So, Ginnie Springs in a few weeks? I'll try to wear a more photogenic post-dive outfit. Dang.

Sharon's right, it was fine in the water. OTOH, after about two hours in the water I started to get chilled. It wasn't all that bad out of the water either - before we got wet. Post dive it was a tad cold.

Jean is extremely funny, she had us in stitches. She's now required to attend all future dives.

So I'm guessing that by stretching out on the deck of the boat you will attract basking sharks, too?
