I'm looking for a dive buddy to dive with me in the Carribean. Florida is where I had my first open water dive over 20 years ago although I live in Maryland. Would also love to find happy hours and events to meet other divers local to me in Baltimore.

Hey girl join any trip and we will supply the appropriate dive buddy!  Sometimes we can help with a buddy if you do a private trip that we book for you as well.

 

Of course if you want to help us host some local Happy Hours in Baltimore and/or other parts of MD we'd love to tap into your help. We have a lot of members in the area so could certainly do some local events!  We used to do a local dive show but sadly with the pandemic they have stopped doing them.

Kelly yours is exactly the sort of spirit the club really needs right now! After suffering trip cancellations and reschedules due to Covid the last two years the morale has clearly suffered, so we are totally supportive of any ideas you may have for a local Happy Hour in your general area. Of course Happy Hour is simply our term for a declared date and venue for an all hands get together, but most places require a little up front coordination with group size estimat4s for table reservations as well as getting the word out. We can help with putting out email blasts tailored to geographic areas such as state of residence etc. if you could assist with selection of a fun, mid range pub or restaurant (we're divers, alas, not hedge fund managers) you feel would suit our needs. In fact we might use this topic thread to solicit ideas if you like!

 

As for soliciting dive buddies, Kamala relocated to the West Palm Beach area just a few years ago, and I myself enjoy several trips a year to South Florida to indulge in some of the best diving on the North American continent (if I do say so myself, Cozumel and Belize offering stiff competition) so please consider this my "hat in the ring" when you are considering the when and where to return to the sea!
