Cindy from Dunedin Florida here - I am a seasoned in age diver who is looking for dive buddies to various locations and came across this group.  My next trip in October to Key Largo followed by a trip to Turks and Caicos in November   Would welcome hearing about others experiences in T and C

Hello Cindy, again welcome aboard and thanks for posting an introductory "ice breaker" topic!

While the main focus of the club is support and invitations to join the trips created by club founder Kamala aka WreckWench    our membership boasts a wide range of experience both in travel and diving so we are sure you will be getting responses with opinions and impressions of the destinations you are asking about. I myself enjoyed the club liveaboard trip to T&C several years ago and can say it was a fabulous experience, the only way really to dive T&C is IMO on a liveaboard trip.

Oh and our club membership is largely similarly "seasoned" as you say ^_^ so no worries there either!

  Cindy and  to the wonderful world of Singledivers.com.  Glad you found our group, as Brad said, diving in T and C on a liveaboard is the best way.  SD has lots of fabulous divers and really fun people.  Kamala and crew put together awesome trips to the best warm water places.  Sounds like your itinerary is set for fall, you might checkout Roatan in December, another great place to dive!!  Hope you are on one of the trips soon.

You've found the right group... at least we like to think so! It's super comfortable for women for sure but all our members of all ages. The proof is in the composition of our trips...usually 50% OR MORE are women because they feel safe traveling with a group that realizes women have different concerns when traveling and I get that! Plus I've traveled all my life thanks to my family's military background and then my own 'corporate gypsy stage' so its in my blood and my soul!

 

It is my #1 priority that we be safe ....(my mother would kill me LOL if I wasn't) AND that people have a FUN & FANTASTIC TIME!!! Those things make me happy so accordingly we do a pretty great job of delivering them. And our TEAM GETS IT!!! They respect and enjoy the same things... and it shows in the care and attention our VOLUNTEERS give when helping our members and especially our new members!  Why? Because we were all new once and usually its hardest being 'new' so we want it to be as enjoyable as we can make it for you.

 

And something Brad alluded to.. another super important perk of membership is that we leverage our huge buying clout to help our members get better deals on diving other places without us. And we can help you find a suitable and appropriate roommate to share the trip and expenses with you as well! Of course this is what we do on our group trips...but most do not realize that we can do it for our member's private trips as well!  In fact many members discover that just because you use the same suppliers that we do...unless we have referred you...you don't get that extra special attention that you get when our group is there!

 

So splash around our forums...or feel free to reach out to any of our volunteers including myself with questions or how we can help or something you are curious about! My contact info is in my signature below this comment so I'm readily reachable (except when I'm underwater) and I love chatting with our members but especially our new members! (Being a military kid I was always the new kid on the block...so I get that too!)

 

We are super happy your found us and truly look forward to your first group trip with us or private travel booking if our colander does not line up with yours!

Welcome Cindy! I am new as well. I am going on the Roatan trip. I have friends in the Indian Rocks Beach area, and go as often as I can. I still haven't made it up to Dunedin, yet. I need to make that a priority on my next trip to the area.
