It's time to standardize more cleanly our trip information creation process to make it simpler and more consistent regardless of the destination.

 

We want to keep the same look and feel and functionality from trip to trip but also ensure that the format works for landbased and liveaboard trips as well as simple and complex trips and finally that the layout is pleasing, professional and does not exceed the character count limits we sometimes hit when creating a really robust and detailed "Trip Details #1 Topic"

 

So this discussion is for the parameters to make this happen...what should be included... etc.

TRIP COSTUME CONTESTS:

 

I was looking for some info in the BOM trip and decided to add some helpful information about the costume contests that we used to run...and would like to run again on nearly any trip we can get enough people to participate.  Great candidates for this are:

• Cozumel,
• Roatan,
• Bonaire etc.

 

Here is the info I just created below and now would like to see in future trip detail topics when a costume contest is feasible or desired.  

 

AND I have added a item to the trip creation process to note if a costume contest is on tap for that trip and if they should add a trip add on for it and of course post the info below in the trip details.

Let us know if you want us to host a fun and fab costume contest?  We need 10 people to participate and we can get great prizes such as free dive travel, cool dive gear and discounts on SD.com future trips.  To let us know either 'sign up for the costume contest if in the trip add on's or post HERE in our #4 post entitled 'WHO'S DOING WHAT' to tell us you want to participate or email trips@singledivers.com and let us know that way. Please do not do them all...just pick one way to communicate so as to not overload our volunteer trip coordinators.
