Well, many of us do have a #1 dating rule - it goes like this -
NO DIVE = NO DATE..
For me if you can't or won't dive.. See ya...

I know more than one diver that is happily married to a non-diver. The last couple of women that I dated before going on a self-imposed moratorium for the last year or so (with no end in sight), had medical issues that precluded them diving. They loved to see my photos and hear me talk about it though, if for no other reason than to see my eyes light up and see a little of that less serious side of me.
A person should be judged in this life not by the mistakes that they make nor by the number of them. Rather they are to be judged by their recovery from them.

I had a similar thought about golf! Is it really better to have that potential constant companion or to have a little space now and then??

Since I spend most of my vacation time in a scuba diving location, the guy has to dive. And then I think, what if something happened to me that I could no longer dive. All that time spent trying to find a guy who dives, and now I can't. I know it would take a lot to keep from diving, so I continue the search for a diving guy. :clapping:

I believe every relationship need a little space now and then. But I don't want to be with someone who doesn't like doing the things I love. Hiking, biking, and Diving.
I do not expect the guy to love everything I do but I do need someone who will do most of these things with me.

I would want somebody who dives also. Other things I could work around but diving would be a toughy.
