Go into my Profile, click Edit my Profile, select Change Avatar from the list on the left, clicked Browse, find the photo on your computer & select it, Click Save Changes, and now the new Avatar is showing on my screen.

NOTE: I had to resize this picture to LESS THAN 100Kb for the new board to accept the picture as my Avatar!

If you don't have a SAVE CHANGES button, let us know and we'll have an IT/Admin look at it.

Here is the response that shadragon gave to someone else who was having that problem:

No Pressure - Please see this forum here. If the button does not appear the photo is either the wrong format, corrupt or otherwise not usable. Send the avatar to admin@singledivers.com and we can see what the issue is.

Yup, that's the secret. If the "SAVE CHANGES" does not light up then the picture is over 100K in size or the wrong format. Read the forum in the older post for exact specs.

Todd, please email the picture you are trying to use as your Avatar to: admin@singledivers.com. They will try to discover what it is about that picture that is keeping you from getting the Save Changes button. :thankyou:

Hmmm. I am having the same problem. The format is one of the listed types and the size is less than 100kb. The same photos will upload to the profile picture without any trouble but I get no "save" button when I upload to the avatar section of the control panel.

I do much more Charlies related stuff than heavy Admin lifting, consequently I do not participate in nor do I have access to the Admins mailbox. I will email James aka WaterLogged and Joe aka grim reefer directly from the Charlies mailbox to request their avatar photos to assist in the uploading research, and upload for them while I am at it.

Just went through this with Greg aka Greg@ihpil and was not able to satisfactorily resolve the issue; will refer this to the big Admin guns who dabble directly in the PhP and other Forum source code.

Instead of "SINGLE" as a marital status, I prefer "Independently Owned & Operated"

Yeah, Traci, I do have the pic. Just not smart enough to get it re-sized. The application in the "Edit My Profile" actually states that it'll re-size it for you if it's too big. After many attempts, the wall seems to have beaten me on this one. I know, I'm a simpleton!!! :lmao:/>
