I know that Mr. Bill, the previous owner and founder of the resort, went to a great extent to determine any cause to the problem described in Undercurrents. After a complete remodel of the kitchen it was found that the contamination was coming from the local supplier of cheese. Subsequently any place on the island using the same supplier was subject to these problems but that was not indicated in Undercurrents. Since the change to a state side supplier of these products I know of no further problems. Personally in ten weeks over the last five years I can only remember one bad night and it followed a trip to the West End with what I suspect was unfiltered water in the ice at a local nightclub.

Did anyone get any intestinal ailments? As you may know, "Undercurrents" has commented frequently in the past two years on intestinal disease acquired at the resort.? Any news on that?

That stomach thing was from Honduran cheese which they no longer use. The only folks that got sick was from to much booze.

I was just at Coco view a month ago and it was great! The wall diving is awsome there. Everything is very well planned and laid out. Your dive gear is located about 8 steps from the boat, and they switch out the tanks for you between dives.

Its certainly a "dive" resort for divers. Although relaxing, its certainly not a "plush" resort. The food was plentiful, but the only meals that still stand out to me is the night we had steak, and the night we had lobster. There was no illness the whole time we were there.

If you need off the hook nightlife, this may not be the place for you. But, that being said, I certainly enjoyed the bar each night.

We went to FIR twice during the week after dark to check out the nightlife there, and it was a little better.

feel free to email or post any questions.
