Maybe we should have a date set to all be online at once?

1274 members aren't active. Why would you want everyone on at once?

Well 36 people online at the same time on march 08 2005
is a record that can be beat. picking a date that would cover
the most people seems to be the problem as gis_gal has
pointed out. lets hear from a few more members and see.

This type of planned event will only serve to mislead us as to how active the board truly is. I'd prefer not to artificially inflate those numbers. We can plan an ICQ chat some time and actually get some real time interaction with everyone.

Ok skip the record making event. lets change this post to idea's of bringing some of the inactive members back around. which is really what I intended in the first place. I just was masking it under an one time event but I'm sure where all open for some new Idea's.

I just love this place :cool1:

Actually, your basic idea is a good one. What about an online chat one evening for everyone who wants to play?

Sounds cool! Can we contact all our membership to let them know? That would tie in nicely with what Bubs is attempting to do- reactivate some of our members- let them know we are alive & having fun!

How and where would this "on line" chat be held since there is no formal "chat" room here?

Are we talking via Yahoo IM?
AOL IM?
Just posting back and forth in a message thread?
Some other place?

Just curious.

Maybe someone has another idea, but ICQ works well.

Then I will just have to dig up my ICQ and open it up, I usually just keep Yahoo and AOLIM open, but ICQ works too. Never did a group chat with ICQ, but I have with Yahoo and AOL.

Unless things have changed, AIM doesn't have chat rooms, you have to be an AOL member to use that feature. I wouldn't want to eliminate those who aren't AOL members. I also use Yahoo, but I'm not familar with chat rooms on Yahoo, do they have them?
