Hey, I just wanted to let my friends know I'm doing OK over here but have been without access to a computer for a while. In fact, I'll be getting off this one in a bit and heading out again soon. On a positive side I'm getting to see more of the country; on the negative side I really hate mortars! Oh, well it pays for the dive gear.

Another positive side to moving out and about I get to meet the local nationals and interact with them. The ones who aren't trying to shoot us are very nice and sincere. All they want is for the fighting to be over so they can live their lives. And the little children here are adorable! I carry a backpack of snack on my excursions full of candy and treats to hand out to the kids. They love it!

That’s about it for now, gotta run….

Is there anything we can do from the States to help? Could you use some help keeping your goody bag full? Could we purchase small treats and toys for the kids and mail them over to you?
If this is feasible please list an address and a list of the kind of things you would need.

I would love to help.

:birthday: :birthday: Thank you for sharing a few of the children with us. I would like to help out in any way I can. Any supplies that you need, either for the little ones or for yourself, please let me know.
Keep safe and well. Time passes quickly and you'll be back before you know it. In the meantime, thank you very much for doing what you do! Steve :birthday: :birthday:

I wonder what's going through their heads? Can you translate what's on the biggest girl's shirt? Does the number mean she's an orphan?

Hey vinnie,

Glad to hear you are doing OK. Stay Safe!! And thank you for serving. It's nice you can find some good mixed in with the bad.

Kids are kids everywhere. I truly believe that most people in the world just want to live their lives, raise their children the best way they know how, and enjoy life. There are the few that try to ruin things for the rest of us. Keep up the good work and keep your head down.
