I don't mind sharing, the spare tent I have is a bit of a pain to put up, but the one I generally use is big enough and easy to use.I plan to be there Fiday afternoon. who else is planning to be there?

Well were going to do some camping out near the park.. and your welcome to join us.I have to work on Friday and on Sunday, but live close enough that I would be willing to drive up Friday after work and do a couple of Saturday dives and drive back. I am up for a night dive, too! Please let me know if anyone is interested in camping at Strayhorn there!
Anyone else like to go?

First Response~
The day's activities for the scuba park dedication begin at 11 am on Saturday, April 30.
Camping is first come; first served. $8.00 per tent site.
A nice area to tent camp would be Hickory Flats - it is on the back side of the park
viewing the lake. If you want to camp closer to the scuba park itself, you might choose Bluff View or Fisherman's Point (which is where the divers like to camp). It might be congested in that area, though. A school bus and several boats were sunk in the scuba park this past weekend.
Please keep in touch as we get closer to that dedication date. I can forward any additional information to you as it becomes available.

Second Response~
You could reserve an RV spot in Fox Squirrel - full hook ups
for $18 or $21 per night + $5 non-refundable reservation fee. Otherwise, it's just set up your tent when you get here and the ranger will collect the appropriate fees from you.

I don't know exactly where I'm going, or who I may meet, or if I'll be able to find a dive buddy, but I've got the tent and dive gear loaded up and will hit the road mid-day tomorrow (Friday).
I'd love to meet some of you! If you are headed that way, would you drop me an email tonight (david@pugetsounddiving.com) or give me a ring at 214-284-9900?
I've been in Dallas for a couple of months now and my gills are all dried out and I gotta dive!
MUST. BLOW. BUBBLES. SOON.
I've gotta go get some tanks filled in the morning and then headed north....
Hope to see some new SD friends there!

Any ideas what the water temp is like/what sort of exposure protection I need to bring?
Is there a place to get fills nearby?

SO....
I think I'll head over to Athens for the weekend instead... MUCH closer for me, and since it looks to be a cool weekend, perhaps it will give me some options if the weather doesn't cooperate. Do a little camping, maybe try to make a few new diver friends, etc.
If any of you wanna meet in Athens for a swim, give me a call (phone number posted previously in this thread). I've never been there, so I have no idea what it's like or what to expect, but I'll figure it out.
Hope that if any of you make it to Tenkiller that you have fun!
