I thought I'd post a fish pic for us to ID every day or so to sharpen up our fish ID skills now that the dive season is on. I'll post the ID after a day or so along with habitat, etc. I'll be doing mostly Caribbean and Western Atlantic Fishes to start with, but I'll throw in some Hawaiian, California/PNW and Indopacific ones for people in those areas.

Here's our first little guy.

I'm not very good at the little guys myself. I can't see the head very well, but I suspect a type of blenny.

BTW Dennis, great idea!

Yes, it is a blenny (she's one of the largest of the blennies)

Yes, indeed, it's a Molly Miller. Like most of the blennies, she's fairly shy, gets up to about 3 inches long. Not that common a fish, but found throughout the western Atlantic and Caribbean.

Here's another, more common guy

This one is extremely beautiful as a juvenile, but like me, they tend to gray as they age.

Yes and that pic doesn't do justice to the sparkle those spots have.
