oh rhonda! definately...i can't wait until the zany group of us from dallas drive to H-town where we'll meet with ZD (who keep your fingers crossed 'cause he might get to go. wish you could make it too...especially 'cause of the dive festival (but i understand). going to get a side job and dedicate the money exclusively to sd.com 'cause they're going to get it on one trip or another. i even stopped looking at travelzoo 'cause i'd much rather do things through here. but back on subject...there's always next year, and all the super cool trips WW's arranged in between. and dr. b was right about the teasing. i should have known better than to sign up with my user name - 'chie - 'cause i think it influences their take on me. like i've posted before, i'm really not a trouble maker. shy as the dickens, really i am. :welcome: although i can't wait to use some "lines" around unsuspecting dutch men..hehe...won't work here with the family. they already know me to well.

Darn, 'Chie. Are you going to disappoint us shy diving geeks and be shy yourself? We were hoping you were a fireball for real, and apparently an intelligent one as well. Sigh.

Sssshhhh! Don't tell anyone, Rhonda, but Bill is a shy diving geek. Ssshhhh!

Seriously, Bill was a great host when I visited Catalina. He even carried my tank for me.

fell in the lake at the 'dillo mugbug boil after running across their version of the grassy knoll and jumping down off of a small wall, but no one saw...so the details are safely hidden inside me that only bubbles or sugar will get out.

hey rhonda...didjahearthat!?! dr. b carries tanks. can you imagine what a diver's single ad will read...my big spending at dive shops equal big spending for you at a destination of your choice (but preferably i would hope you buy the same stuff that i do!) the catch of the day is me and the stuff we spear together. and the best part...we do it underwater and i'll even carry your tank!

Actually, Chie, this is one of the "dive buddy wanted" ads I placed on my hand cart while underwater. Must admit I had no takers. I need a person who's good at marketing!

DR. BILL is once again a "diver down." Beware, use extreme caution when diving in this area... his clumsy diving style and tendency to spend his time underwater meditating or narrowly focused on video-taping some esoteric marine creature rather than paying attention to those around him could be hazardous to other diver's health (per the Surgeon General of the United States)

DIVE BUDDIES DESIRED: Dr. Bill prefers to dive solo in familiar waters (he has been diving Catalina since 1969- yes, while still in diapers), but is always interested in buddies to dive the Channel Islands or warmer tropical waters during the cold southern California winter. Buddies must meet his rigorous criteria: female (preferably SAF); intelligent (at least enough to be attracted to Dr. Bill's "beautiful mind"); breathing (heavy after seeing Dr. Bill's magnificent physique); experienced diver; beautiful legs for subtle fin kicks; a weird sense of humor (able to tolerate stuff like you're reading now); wealthy (enough to support Dr. Bill's scientific research and dive travel needs) and interested in the following: marine biology, marine reserves, underwater photography/videography, the philosophy of Edward Flanders "Doc" Ricketts (of Cannery Row fame), Robinson Jeffers and Joseph Campbell, beer milkshakes and fine wines, good safe sex (underwater on SCUBA a plus), and life itself (not necessarily in that order). If you meet at least one of these criteria (the first), please contact:

hmm...well rhonda...what do you think? i would say instead of the "extreme caution" warning flags, maybe we'll say, "would enjoy a lively, independent mate wealthy enough to share in an eccentric, handsome character's passion for watching and emulating giant kelpfish."

hey R...what would your single's ad say?

I'll have to think about something suitable for mixed company! :wakawaka:

Go for it, but remember, while it is mixed company, we are all adults. Have fun!

Perhaps I should have said, "legally adults."
