Just wondering how long it usually takes from the time I send my money in until my membership becomes active... any ideas?

Kamala is probably your best best for an answer. I sent a money order from Canada and it took over three weeks; PayPal is much faster.

Also, I think that WW had mentioned in the 'contest' thread that there were delays on her end due to circumstances beyond her control, ie. personal matters, etc.

yeah, and it makes me very sad.... I am absolutely STARVING for a trip to Quadra Island/Campbell River right now, and can't afford it. :dltears:

Vancouver Island is the most beautiful place I've ever been, and I can't wait to come back for another visit.

You've been spoiled these past years. Try getting a Visa bill where the exchange rate is almost 50%! :-D Yeah, that's right -- 50%!!!

I don't know the anwser to that one. I paid cash to Kamala at the dallas happy hour outing, I got the shirt and stickers to prove it - but yet I am still in the house of Trial Member.

I feel, as if, I am kept here in the rating of Trial Member for some reason of pennance for some crime or offense of which I am still unaware. As if, it was a test of character if not my sole.

So, I sit here, alone. Pondering my fate and what is to be made of my SD life. And waiting for Kamala to deem me and my cash in the hand payment, worthy to pass from the house of Trial, into the ranks of the rank and file MEMBER.

FYI, I can't seem to access the galleries... I suspect it's because I'm a "professional" member, and as I understand it, I'm the only one, so I suspect my membership category hasn't been set up to have access to the galleries.

No rush on this, but could one of you have a look at this when you have a chance? Being a photographer, I'd enjoy seeing all the pictures.
